My girlfriend sexually assaulted me – but now she’s accusing me of rape
DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN I accused my girlfriend of sexual assault, she turned it back around on me.
Now I’m being wrongly accused of raping her.

I’m 42, she’s 38. We broke up last year after a three-year relationship.
I really struggled with my mental health during the pandemic and was prescribed antidepressants last August.
While they helped to control my low mood, they really affected my sex drive.
My girlfriend was sick of me rejecting her so, one night, told me she was “going to get me in the mood”.
Despite me saying no multiple times, she waited until I was half asleep then performed a sex act on me.
I told her that was sexual assault. She denied it, saying that’s not possible if you’re in a relationship.
We broke up shortly after. Then last month, the police turned up at my house as she’d reported me for rape.

It never happened, she knows that.
Now I’m having to deal with this and the fact I was assaulted by someone who’s meant to love me. I’m in a state.
