Dad jokingly shares nightly meal-time routines for kids – but stunned viewers are all saying the same thing
IN a perfect world, our family would happily sit down for dinner together every night and all eat the same thing.
But when you’ve got small kids with their own very specific likes and dislikes, this is just downright impossible.

One person who knows a little something about this is dad Charlie.
Earlier this year, the American social media star – who boasts 2.2m TikTok followers – shared a video of him prepping his children’s meals for the evening.
Poking fun at the cliche that middle children are overlooked, the dad filmed himself presenting his oldest and youngest kids with a hot dog with all the toppings and a side of curly fries.
In contrast, he then jokingly prepared an underwhelming ham and cheese sandwich – using the two end slices of a loaf of bread – intended for the “middle child”.

He captioned the clip: “Not the ends!”
The video has since racked up almost 90,000 “likes” on Facebook – but shocked viewers weren’t bothered by the difference in meals.

Instead, other parents were surprised to see the two children were allowed to eat their dinner in their bedrooms alone.
“Can’t stand food in bedrooms,” one replied.
Another added: “Even if I was sick I was still forced to go down and eat at the table.”
“I would never let my children eat meals in their bedroom,” a third wrote. “Always at the table together.”
A fourth fumed: “I would not be delivering food to their rooms for sure – they can come and get it when it’s ready – snacks are okay eaten like this but main meals should all be together if possible.”
Meanwhile, a fifth said: “Breakfast together, eating out together, dinner together are special time to spend time together and talk about what your plans are for the day or how the day went. Talk to your children!!!!”

Jumping to Charlie’s defence, a fan said: “Think you’re all taking this a tad bit too seriously.”
“Me personally I don’t like sitting at a table with other people I just want to eat my food in peace,” another said. “That don’t mean my family relationship isn’t good okay.”
