Peter Andre reveals why he’s been sober for ten years – after saying Katie Price’s drinking was ‘a nightmare’
PETER Andre has revealed why he’s been sober for 10 years and thanked sobriety for helping him stay young.
The 49-year-old confessed the decision to cut out booze has made a “massive difference” to his looks.
He said: “I stopped drinking around 10 years ago and I think that’s made a massive difference and I definitely do feel better for it.”
“I’m 50 next year and I can honestly say I feel fantastic. And I must say thank you to everyone who commented and made me feel young as I really appreciate it.”
Writing in his column for new! magazine, dad-of-four Pete thanked fans for their comments after he shared a snap of him by pool last week.
He said: “People have been lovely with their comments, and some were asking me how I stay in shape.

“I don’t deprive myself of anything and I don’t count daily calories, I just eat foods I love pizza, pasta and doughnuts.
“But for every meal that’s classified as naughty, I add an equal amount of healthy fruits and salads.”
Pete’s wife Emily revealed previously that neither of them drink as she believes drinking “can cause arguments”.
The Mysterious Girl singer once opened up to The Sun about ex-wife Katie Price‘s drinking habits.

Pete, who shares Junior, 17, and Princess, 15, with Katie, said before their split in 2009: “I’m not jealous of anybody until Katie’s drunk. There’s nobody I feel threatened by when she’s sober.
“But if she’s been drinking, I know she’s capable of anything. The devil gets inside her and she’s a nightmare.”
