Scots will disown me if my burger has salad on it, says hilarious customer note
A SCOTTISH takeaway customer raised a laugh when he asked for no salad on his burger — as he feared his passport would be cancelled.
The unnamed man ordered a £14 Epic Fried Chicken and Beef Burger, which combines a beef patty and a fried chicken breast in sesame bun.
But he told takeaway Farsley Fire and Smoke, in Leeds: “No salad. I’m Scottish.
“They’ll revoke my passport if they catch me eating vegetables.”
The takeaway shared the unusual request on social media, where one wag quipped: “I’m more impressed you extracted £14 from a Scotsman for a burger.”
Another questioned: “Scottish yet no Irn Bru?!”

Takeaway boss Ashley Turner said: “Respecting cultural values is really important for us.
“If a Scotsman wants no salad then we do all we can to ensure he leaves one happy and satisfied Scotsman.
“It would cause is great sadness if we led to his passport being revoked over a delicious burger.”
