Heaping praise on India for not joining the West-led sanctions against Russia, Lavrov said, "Indian leaders, including Dr S Jaishankar, have publicly rejected any attempts to involve them in restrictions on the Russian energy purchases. When great states are told that they must do something on orders from somewhere across the ocean, I can only imagine what damage these diktats causes to relations ."
