ADOLFO AND GARCES REMAIN UNBEATEN IN MANDAUE CITY

CEBU,PHILIPPINES- Michael Adolfo (2-0,1KO) launched a hail of body and head shots in the opening round against Renante Noblefranca (0-4) who eventually went down in the second round.
Referee Tony Pesons called a halt at the 2:54 mark. Adolfo’s boxrec record shows he was inactive since his pro debut in 2019. This fight served as the main bout of an eight bout card held at the Umapad Gym in Mandaue City,Cebu.
Kit Ceron Garces ( 4-0,4KO’s) maintained his perfect record by stopping Briel Ozaraga (2-4-1,1KO) in the opening round. Referee Nic Banal signaled the end at 1:23. Garces, a former amateur standout from Talisay City, Cebu, is one of the prospects to watch here in Cebu.
Speedy Boy Acope had a successful pro debut against Steve Noblefranca (1-6-1), who went down in the second round but managed to last the four round distance. Judges Edwin Barientos,Arnel Pasion and Tony Pesons all scored it 40-35.
George Sedillo’s debut against Kier Torregoza ended in a split draw after four bruising rounds. John Ver Espra (1-1,1KO) spoiled the pro debut of Jerick Espina, who was knocked out in the first. Johnro Taneo entered the pro ranks by knocking out Lenbert Unabia (0-2) in the opening round.
Marco Pumar got a narrow split decision against the tough Jason Mopon after six rounds. Francis Damloan got a technical decision against Cedie Noblefranca.
The card billed as "Kumbati sa Mandaue" was the debut presentation of AB Boxing Promotions. The card was sanctioned and supervised by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Region VII office in Cebu.
