Living through 17% interest rates scarred Boomers deeply

Watching the news on mortgage stress, I said to my partner: “What did they expect?” Yet as official interest rates have now climbed to 2.35 per cent, we Boomers can’t escape our relative privilege nor dismiss the pain for younger Australians.
