An eight-year-old second standard student got scalded on his stomach and thighs, after hot water was poured on him by a teacher, at the Ghanamatha Coaching Centre at Santekellur village in Maski taluk in Raichur district. The victim, Akhil Venkatesh, was admitted to the Lingasugur taluk hospital on September 2, but the incident came to light late, after which the child welfare committee director filed a complaint with the Maski police on Friday.
