[Volleyball] Volleyball Falls to No. 16 CSM

Doane Volleyball traveled to take on No. 16 Saint Mary (Neb.) in Omaha on Saturday afternoon. The Flames were able to keep the Tigers off balance in winning in straight sets, 25-14, 25-13, and 25-17.

Saint Mary hit .268 as a team while holding Doane to a .092 attack percentage. Kirsten Bures (SR/Odell, Neb.) led the Tigers with 10 kills and Jaime Renshaw (SR/Sioux Falls, S.D.) dished out 20 assists. The Flames handled the Tiger service game, holding Doane without an ace serve for the first time this year after recording three or more in the previous 13 outings.

MacKenzie Painter (SO/Lincoln, Neb.) led the Tigers with 16 digs with Cassidy Tomplin posting a team-high three total blocks. Doane had six team blocks.

Doane returns home to take on Concordia on Wednesday, September 14.
