RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo squandered the chance to gain ground in the Brazilian Serie A title race on Sunday with a 1-1 draw at Goias.

Diego Fagundes gave the hosts the lead in the 80th minute by latching onto a Pedro Raul pass and firing a right-footed shot into the top-right corner.
