Obesity drug may reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes ‘by over 60 percent’ say researchers

DIABETES occurs when the body struggles to manage the levels of glucose in the blood without outside intervention. The condition, which around five million people in the UK live with, that is growing in prevalence and often chronic, can be prevented from occurring. In a new report, a group of researchers say one drug could dramatically reduce someone's risk of diabetes.
