Carol Vorderman shares sweet snaps with King Charles after breaking down in tears following the Queen’s death
CAROL Vorderman shared some sweet memories of her meetings with King Charles after breaking down in tears over the Queen’s death.
TV presenter Carol, 61, couldn’t hide her emotions as she took to Instagram last week to reflect on the passing of Her Majesty Elizabeth II.
Former Countdown star Carol has met the new King several times over the years thanks to his involvement in the Pride of Britain awards.
After posting some photos of their meetings Carol recalled the pair “having a giggle about something or other”.
She added: “Thank you sir for all of your hard work so far. Longlive the King.”
Sharing a video of the Queen being driven in a hearse on Sunday, Carol said: “As the Queen’s coffin begins its long journey from Balmoral to Edinburgh, and then onto London, there will be many of us who will shed tears for those we lost, particularly for our mothers and fathers and grandmothers and grandfathers and Uncles and Aunts who were born and lived through similar decades to Her Majesty.
“They saw the biggest changes the world has ever known, bigger than our generations will ever see.”
The news made her reflect on moments in her personal life.
Carol added: “I’m remembering my Mum right now as I’m sure you’re remembering those you loved too.
“May the journey be calm, and may we remember them all as we know they would want to be remembered.”
