3 hurt when helicopter assigned to the Fairview fire crashes
A helicopter assigned to the Fairview wildfire crashed while attempting to land at the Banning Municipal Airport on Saturday, Sept. 10, injuring all three people aboard.

The helicopter crashed in a residential backyard on its approach to the airport around 3:30 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Three people were aboard the privately-owned aircraft — one pilot and two fire personnel.
They were taken to a hospital with moderate injuries, authorities said.
As of Sunday evening, one of the fire personnel was released while the remaining two victims remained hospitalized, according to Rob Roseen, spokesman for Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire.
The National Transportation Safety Board was investigating the crash, according to the FAA.
