Australia’s Dusk fragrance store to launch in New Zealand
Home fragrance brand Dusk has announced plans to expand into New Zealand with three new stores to be launched across Auckland and Wellington.
Dusk, founded in 1999, is an Australian retailer of home fragrance products including candles, diffusers, essential oils and fragrance homewares. The brand says Kiwis can now access its ranges both online and offline via its website and physical stores.
The stores will be located at Westfield Manukau City, which is set to open this month, along with Northwest Shopping Centre and Queensgate Shopping Centre, both scheduled to launch next month.
According to Dusk, 64 per cent of adult New Zealanders claim to have purchased a home fragrance product in the previous six months, and 76 per cent of Kiwis are looking for new home fragrances and decor.
Last year, the supplier Eroma was purchased by Dusk for $28 million in an effort to scale up both companies’ operations and broaden the group’s potential market.
Earlier this month, the brand reported while store closures caused a drop in sales, online sales increased as a result of active online shopping by loyalty program members.
The company also intends to open five new stores in Australia before Christmas
