Sri Lanka left the trophy as champions of Asia Cup 2022

Beating Pakistan by 23 runs in the Final of the Asia cup 2022, Sri Lankan team left the Asia Cup trophy for the 3rd time.

At the Dubai Stadium on the 11th of September, Sri Lanka takes on Pakistan on the occasion of Asia Cup 2022 Final, Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 23 runs and Concede the Champion Title for the 6th time.

This Year’s Asia cup was supposed to host by Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, but domestic turbulence force them to shift it to the UAE. Now Sri Lanka has their 6th Asia Cup Title. Earlier they had won the 1986, 1997, 2004, 2008, 2014 and now 2022 Asia Cup Title.

Match Summary: The Toss was won by Pakistan, and they let Sri Lanka to bat first. Sri Lanka was 36/3 in the 6tth over when Rajapaksa came to bat and Rajapaksa made a beautiful knock of 71 runs and made the total to 170/6 in the 20th over of the first innings.

In the 2nd innings, Pakistan lose 2 early wickets, while Md Rizwan made a half century which was not enough for his team to reach the mark. Pakistan kept losing wickets in quick intervals and after their 20th over they made 147/10 and The Asia Cup Championship tag went to the Sri Lankan Team for once again.
