Volleyball
The Spires had a perfect 3-0 week after beating Missouri Valley College in three sets Tuesday night and beating both Bethany College and Peru State in four sets during their weekend doubleheader. Saint Mary made quick work of the Vikings on Tuesday night winning 25-15, 25-20, and 25-22. Keagan Shockley led the Spires with 12 kills on the night. On Saturday the Spires had two dominant games against Bethany and Peru State. Saint May was taking early leads and finishing strong to close out their opponents. Haydan Heuermann had a total of 30 assists against the Swedes and 17 against the Bobcats. The Spires will be on Atchison, Kansas, Tuesday night for a matchup against Benedictine College.

Volleyball Goes 2-0 in Weekend Doubleheader

Men's Soccer
USM sustained its first loss of the year to Park University on the road Wednesday night and cruised to a win against Kansas Christian College Saturday afternoon, making their record 2-1-1. Park struck first, putting up three goals in the first half, but with seconds to go, Anthony Rangel got Saint Mary on the board to enter halftime down 3-1. The Spires would continue the attack in the second period, desperately trying to get within one goal of the Pirates. A scoreless second half for both teams gave Saint Mary their first loss of the year. On Saturday the Spires scored first after a Guilherme Caldas goal gave them a 1-0 lead. Just before halftime William Lopez got his first of two goals in the game to send Saint Mary into halftime up 2-0. Putting up three more goals in the second half, the Spires cruised to a 5-0 victory for their second win of the year. They play Manhattan Christian College on Wednesday night in Manhattan, Kansas.

Men's Soccer Falls to Park 3-1
Women's Soccer
The Spires had only one contest this week, as they went on the road to face Park University. An early goal for the Pirates made it 1-0 but the Saint Mary defense regrouped and held Park scoreless for the rest of the first period. Saint Mary had scoring opportunities of their own in the first half but could not capitalize on them. In the second half Karleigh Enyart got the Spires on the board, scoring on a free kick just outside the box. However, Siant Mary gave up five more goal in the second half and lost by a score of 6-1. The Spire head to Fulton, Missouri, Wednesday for a 5 p.m. matchup with William Woods University.
