Watch what's coming out of the faucets in Jackson, Mississippi, after water pressure restored
After a widespread loss of water pressure, water has been restored to residents of Jackson, Mississippi. The only problem is the water is brown. The city remains under a boil water advisory, Jackson Mayor Chokwe Lumumba told journalist Margaret Brennan of CBS' Face the Nation on Sunday.
When Brennan asked when could residents “turn on the faucet and not have to worry,” the mayor said the city is still in a “triage period” at the affected water treatment facility and “investigatory sampling” is taking place.
“And so we believe that it’s a matter of days, not weeks before that boil water notice can be lifted,” Lumumba said.
