Countless registrations at DKMS campaign
The blood-typing campaign organised by TSG's active fan scene to help in the fight against blood cancer was a complete success, says the DKMS. A great number of spectators at the match against 1. FSV Mainz 05 registered and provided a cheek swab. Every stadium attendee between the ages of 17 and 55 had the opportunity to be typed free of charge and without any commitment.
"We are totally satisfied. Thanks go to TSG for their fantastic organisation, everyone put their heart and soul into it," says Ashvini Pathmanathan from the DKMS, adding: "And of course a big thank you to everyone who registered to help others.''
Andrej Kramarić named Croatia's most popular sportsperson
TSG striker Andrej Kramarić has been named the most popular Croatian sportsperson not living in the country. The vote, organised by the largest Croatian daily newspaper "Večernji List" and the news portal "Fenix Magazine", crowned Kramarić the winner of the award for the fourth time. This brings him level with Ivan Rakitić, who has also won four times. The prize was presented by Croatia's Consul General Ivan Sablić.
Congratulations, Andrej!
Prömel & Georginio make Team of the Round
TSG's convincing performance against 1. FSV Mainz 05, especially in the second half, has been acknowledged by various media outlets. The ARD-Sportschau nominated Georginio in their Matchday 6 XI, while "kicker" and BILD newspaper selected Grischa Prömel in their teams. Georginio set up the opening goal and posed a constant threat with his dribbling runs. Prömel was not only the player that covered the most kilometres; he also saw his hard-working performance rewarded with his first Bundesliga goal for TSG.
