The 2022 WNBA Finals features the Las Vegas Aces and Connecticut Sun in a best-of-five series. The first game of the finals was broadcast on ABC on September 11, while the rest of the series will air on ESPN.
Led by first year coach Becky Hammon, Las Vegas ended the regular season with the best record in the WNBA and won the 2022 Commissioner's Cup tournament. Aces forward A'ja Wilson was named the 2022 regular season MVP, while guard Kelsey Plum was named the MVP of the WNBA All-Star game and the Commissioner's Cup.
The Connecticut Sun completed a surprising upset over the defending champion Chicago Sky in the semifinals, winning a decisive game five with a come-from-behind victory.
Both teams are hoping to capture their first WNBA championship. The Sun last reached the WNBA Finals in 2019, where they lost to the Washington Mystics. The Aces made the finals in 2020, but lost to the Seattle Storm.

The Connecticut Sun will host Game 3 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville and Game 4 if necessary. If the series goes to Game 5, the final match will be played in Las Vegas.
