30 Mile TT and Finalé of the Triangle
A small group of riders took to their TT bikes for a final round of the Triangle series, in the form of a 30mile event on the Walshford course. Six club members took on two laps between Walshford and Boroughbridge. Tim Howcroft unfortunately punctured so was unable to finish.
Fastest on the day was Tim Garwell, recording a 1:12:54. James Cullen was fastest on handicap, with a scaled time of 1:14:36, and takes the handicap competition. Helen Goldthorpe was fastest woman with a 1:21:58.
Tim Garwell’s second place on handicap gave him 9 points, and enabled him to close the gap to Tom Broadley, but with Tom still taking 7 points on the day, he managed to maintain his lead and take the 2022 Triangle points competition overall. Helen Goldthorpe rounded out the podium.
