Emmerdale fans horrified by Al Chapman’s shock confession

EMMERDALE fans are horrified after Al Chapman made a shock confession to Chas Dingle.

The businessman – who is played by actor Michael Wildman in the ITV soap – has been carrying on an affair with married bar manager Chas for months.

They were caught by her cousin Belle, and insisted they had called it off.

But last week they reignited their affair with a dirty weekend away in a cottage with Chas’ unaware toddler.

Leaving Eve alone, the pair went upstairs for some alone time – but for Al things had got more serious.

“I love you,” he said after the pair’s sordid romp.

But he looked crestfallen when Chas replied simply: “I need to go and check on Eve.”

Later, he told her: “I don’t say that to anyone and mean it but I meant it. I love you.

“I count my lucky stars for every moment that I get to spend with you. This is the future I want with you. It’s perfect. 

“Chas you make me feel happy. Imagine being like this, all the time, together. I just need you to know. That I just do love you.”

Meanwhile Chas sank to a new low when she returned home, by coaching her young daughter to lie for her.

“Last night was a bit of an adventure, wasn’t it?” she told her young daughter in the cafe.

“But we had a fun time, didn’t we? Just the two of us on our adventure. How about we go on the swings before we go home?”

Fans are begging bosses to end the storyline.

One wrote: “Please say Chas and Al get found out soon, it’s all so nasty now.”

A second said: “Having both the Sandra storyline at the same time as the Chas and Al storyline is too much.”

Another added: “Every time they cut to Chas & Al I feel sick.”
