United States beat South Africa, finish undefeated and send Netherlands through to Super Round
It took less than 50 minutes for the United States to complete the two innings missing in Sunday's game against South Africa. The US won 16-0 in five innings and will head undefeated into the Super Round.
The game resumed from the top of the third with runners at first and second. Quinn McKenzie gave up back-to-back walks, and Bryce Eldridge hit a sacrifice fly to update the score to 12-0.
USA would add four more runs in the top of the fourth.
Stone Russell took over from where he had stopped on Sunday, cruising through 10 consecutive outs before allowing a base hit to right fielder Jamie Brooks in the bottom of the fifth.
