Rege-Jean Page & Glen Powell Join Forces In 'Butch & Sundance' TV Series

Rege-Jean Page and Glen Powell have an exciting new project on the horizon!

The 34-year-old Bridgerton and 33-year-old Top Gun: Maverick actors are set to join forces in a TV series inspired by the 1969 classic Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The original Western starred Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

The currently untitled show got picked up by Amazon. However, there was interest from the likes of Disney+ and Peacock. Although the deal isn’t finalized just yet, Rege-Jean and Glen are expected to executive produce the series alongside Joe and Anthony Russo. The former was cast as Butch Cassidy, while the latter will play the Sundance Kid. Kaz and Ryan Firpo signed on to write the script.

There is also talk of expanding it into a franchise.

Since the series is so new, neither star opted to comment on the roles. Rege-Jean recently opened up about how his role in Bridgerton helped him land another gig. Find out here!
