INSEE revises France's August CPI up to 5.9 pct

PARIS, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- The French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) revised up on Thursday the annual increase in the country's August consumer price index (CPI) to 5.9 percent from 5.8 percent.

The INSEE said that year-on-year CPI increased by 6.1 percent in July in its final report.
