Lawsuit seeks US requirements on airplane seat sizes

WASHINGTON D.C.: A U.S. appeals court heard arguments this week from a passenger advocacy group urging it to order the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to set minimum seat dimensions on passenger seats in commercial airplanes.

In 2018, Congress ordered the FAA to issue regulations establishing minimum dimensions for passenger seats, including minimums for seat pitch, width, and length, within one year.
