LPD on the scene of a shooting on Martin Luther King Drive

UPDATE: 4:45 P.M.: Lafayette Police say that the victim was shot multiple times at his residence on the 100 block of Fitzgerald Drive, the victim then ran to a nearby store and collapsed outside the business in the 800 block of MLK.

According to LPD, the victim is listed in critical condition.

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - The Lafayette Police Department (LPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred on Martin Luther King Dr.

It happened in the 800 block of MLK.

LPD said that the victim was transported to a local hospital where their condition is unknown at this time.
