Less new affordable housing, more serious crime in NYC: Mayor Adams’ first management report

Just 16,042 units of affordable housing were built or preserved in the 2022 fiscal year — a 46% drop as compared to the 29,408 units produced or preserved in the 2021 fiscal year, which was already lower than usual due to the pandemic.
