France is particularly concerned about the escalation of violence in Haiti and strongly condemns the attacks on people, the blockading of roads and the pillaging committed over these last few days in Port-au-Prince and throughout the country. France urges all Haitian politicians to use frank dialogue to reach an agreement so that they can come to a consensus on holding democratic elections in order to bring back constitutional order.
