UN urges countries to transfer millions in pledges to avert catastrophic oil spill from Red Sea tanker

Canada is among 17 countries that promised millions of dollars for an urgent salvage operation for the FSO Safer, a decaying oil tanker in the Red Sea, but the UN has yet to receive most of the money it needs to prevent an environmental disaster off Yemen's coast.
