Gehlot's comments coincided with some supporters of Sachin Pilot, a long-standing aspirant for Rajasthan CM, stressing on the one-man-one-post principle to argue Gehlot can't remain the CM and the party chief simultaneously. While there has been no instance of a Congress chief holding the post of the CM - unlike many PMs who remained party chiefs - Sonia Gandhi is interim party chief, CPP chairperson and UPA head.
