Longtime Mehmet Oz confidant calls Doc Crock's campaign a 'festival of fraudulence' and a 'disgrace'

One of Mehmet Oz’s old friends thinks his Senate run is a disgrace—and not just because it’s the campaign equivalent of two drunk longshoremen trying to shave each other’s bums on a Tilt-A-Whirl.

According to a new report from Rolling Stone, Oz’s dear friend and confidant Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is outright appalled by Oz’s behavior during his campaign, calling him out over his election denialism, his campaign’s snide comments about his opponent’s health issues, and what he colorfully refers to as Oz’s “festival of fraudulence.”

Boteach, a Republican who once made his own run for Congress and is also a celebrity media personality, has long encouraged Oz to launch a “values-based campaign” for public office, but other than hiding the true value of his many properties and showing Pennsylvanians what they’d be paying for veggie trays if they catered a cotillion at his multimillion-dollar New Jersey manse, the “values” stuff never really materialized. And Boteach appears to have noticed.
