Former Trump employees team up to characterize The View's Sunny Hostin as 'racist'

ABC’s The View host Sunny Hostin is the latest Democrat conservatives are criticizing as “racist,” and it’s because of her criticism of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley of all people. This is a person who worked for former President Donald Trump. She said "we need to snap out of" respecting transgender Americans when asked whether she plans to run for president in 2024.

Though originally named Nimrata Nikki Randhawa—the daughter of Indian immigrants—Haley is no advocate for marginalized communities. She emerged as a critic of Trump only after the insurrection he is accused of having provoked on Jan. 6, and even in the days after the Capitol attack, when Haley tried to meet with the former president she was “turned down,” Politico reported.

Hostin said of Haley on The View Tuesday: “There are some of us that can be chameleons and decide not to embrace our ethnicity, so that we can pass.”
