Liz Truss and Joe Biden had a "short discussion” about the contentious Northern Ireland Protocol - part of the Brexit deal – during their first talks at a UN summit in New York on Wednesday, with the US President underscoring to the UK Prime Minister that they were both “committed to protecting the Good Friday agreement.”
