People are just realising they’re using their dishwasher tablets wrong – it’s why your stuff isn’t coming out clean

HAVE you ever wondered why your dishwasher isn’t properly cleaning your crockery?

Well, according to one man, it’s because you’re using the dishwasher tablets wrong.

He took to TikTok to share his hack, writing on top of his video: “Little dishwasher hack that will really help.”

Getting one of the dishwasher “pods” out of his cupboard, he went to put it in the designated container inside the dishwasher, before wagging his finger to indicate that he was going to put it elsewhere.

“Do not ever put pods in the ‘slot’,” he wrote.

“The slot is built for detergent, not the pods – they clog.”

Instead, “just toss it in”.

He then showed himself just throwing the pod into the base of the dishwasher.

People were divided over the hack in the comments section of the video.

“Yup! The guy who installed our dishwasher said the same to us. He said to put it where the cutlery is,” one person wrote.

“it’s a game changer my dishes are actually clean since doing this,” another added.

“I started doing this and it does work better,” a third commented.

“I always throw it in the bottom, cleans better,” someone else insisted.

But others weren’t quite as convinced.

“You’re wasting pods by doing this,” someone wrote.

“It dissolves in the initial rinse cycle.”

“The dishwasher does a quick rinse before every cycle,” another added.

“You would be wasting your pod in this first part. But oh well, you do you.”

As someone else wrote: “The real hack is not buying pods like a chump.

“Just get the powder.

“It’s WAY cheaper and what’s actually in the pods themselves.”
