Windblown dribble for the keen
Hello Friends,
As of 0900 wind was SSW 14-26 kts and swell at sea was 2 metres at 6 seconds from 191° (ie SSW). The combination was producing sideshore knee to maybe waist high sets at semi protected locations like Dee Why.
The wind’s set to come around to the south soon and to stay that way all day tomorrow. The south swell should start to fill in from tomorrow and then hit its peak intensity Saturday morning when the wind will also be blasting SE.
Sunday morning is currently looking promising as the forecasts show the swell swinging to the ESE and the early wind coming from the SSW. Weather through the period will be showery.
Monday, which has looked promising in the forecasts for some days now, continues to look good in the latest predictions. If they’re right we could have sunny skies and light SW breezes greeting a 2 metre 11-12 sec period ESE swell.
Go well with your Thursday everyone!
Weather Situation
A low pressure system lies off the central coast, and will move eastwards away from the mainland through today and Friday. Meanwhile a strong high pressure system lies south of the continent, and will push a strong surge of southerly winds across all waters, which will remain dominant into the weekend.
