DNA Journey cast: Who appears in ITV reality series?

DNA Journey – which sees pairs of famous faces find out the backstory to their family history – is back on ITV for Part Two of their 2022 series.
Who is in the cast of ITV’s DNA Journey?
Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan – Episode 1
In the first episode comedians and best mates, Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan kick off the new series.
They embark on a road trip to find out about their family history.
Using a mix of DNA and genealogy, they meet family they never knew existed.
While there are plenty of laughs along the way, there’s also some surprising and moving emotion from TV’s top funny men.

Alison Hammond and Kate Garraway
Daytime queens Alison Hammond and Kate Garraway take on this incredible journey together.
They travel all over the globe, from Bristol to London, and to Jamaica.
They find out that some of their own colourful and extraordinary ancestors would definitely make an eye-opening item of one of their morning shows.
Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb
Gavin & Stacey stars Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb team up again, but this time to go back to their roots.
The pair are known for playing Gavin’s mum and dad Pamela Shipman and Mick/Michael Shipman in the series that first aired on the BBC in 2007.
ITV haven’t released information about what happens on their DNA Journey yet.
But the pair were spotted filming together in August 2022, in none other than Barry Island.
Joel Dommett and Tom Allen
Another comedy pair – Joel Dommett and Tom Allen – have also teamed up for the show.
Like Alison and Larry, ITV are keeping tight-lipped about their episode.
The Masked Singer host Joel has become a huge star since he appeared on I’m A Celebrity back in 2016.
While Tom has equally become a well known face on the box, thanks to his presenting gigs on spin-off shows for The Apprentice and Bake Off.
DNA Journey Part One
The first part of the 2022 series aired back in April, and you can re-watch these episodes on the ITV Hub now.
The celebrities pairs that took part were:
- Episode 1 – Chasers Anne Hegerty and Shaun Wallace.
- Episode 2 – Actresses Dame Maureen Lipman and Rula Lenska, who met on the set of Corrie.
- Episode 3 – Olympic gold medallists and Dancing On Ice judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean AKA Torvill and Dean.
When does DNA Journey start on ITV?
DNA Journey 2022 returns for its second part TONIGHT (September 29, 2022) at 9pm on ITV.
