Other Regional Press - Labour has pledged to build an Elizabeth line for the North following the launch of Londons line of the same name this May. During the partys conference in Liverpool this week, the opposition party committed to nationalise the railways, to press ahead with Northern Powerhouse Rail (also known as HS3), and to build High Speed 2 in full after the Tories scrapped the planned East Midlands to Leeds eastern leg of the mega-project.
