At a time when sight of farm fires is very common in the paddy harvesting season, there are several villages in Ludhiana district which take pride in not burning stubble at all. Carrying on with the practice for the past several years and setting an example for others, these villages have understood the harmful effects of stubble burning on humans as well as environment.
