Tottenham Hotspur to rival Manchester United for Jan Oblak?
Manchester United reportedly face fresh competition from Tottenham Hotspur for the signing of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the world’s leading shot-stoppers over the eight years at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Slovenia international has kept 177 clean sheets in 360 matches for the Red and Whites, winning La Liga, the Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Supercopa de Espana during his time.
He has been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish capital in recent weeks.
Man United are believed to have identified the Slovenian as an ideal successor to David de Gea, and according to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur have also joined the race.
The report adds that Spurs have already made contact with Oblak to lure him away to North London in 2023.
Oblak has a deal at Atletico until 2024.
