I tried to live off of £10 food for a week – it’s doable if you shop in the right supermarket, here’s how it went
A SHOPPER challenged herself to see if she could go to ASDA and do a shop and live off of a weeks worth of shopping for just £10.
Bargain hunter Laura Dawes headed down to her local branch of the popular supermarket and copped a bag full of food items that she hoped would last her the week
She posted the feat to her social media page and many loved the bargains that she bagged.
Choosing ASDA as the supermarket of choice, she set about getting as much food as she can in the family friendly supermarket.

Laura captioned her video: ”Can you live off of £10 for a whole week?”
The reel starts, we see the savvy shopper sitting in her car as she is about to approach the store.
In the voice over she says: ”Just arrived at ASDA, let’s see what we can get for a tenner.”
Although Laura doesn’t film herself buying her bargains, she cuts to being at home and lets the camera pan over her haul.
She added: “I’m back from ASDA and I spent £9.96, I don’t care what anyone says ASDA is much cheaper than Lidl.

The bargain hunter then goes on to reveal all the shopping she bought for just £10, that included pasta, chicken wings, tinned mushy peas, spaghetti and beans. Oranges, bacon, fish fingers, bread, milk potatoes and rice.
This girl really knows how to bargain hunt, because her haul didn’t stop there, she bagged mozzarella cheese, onions, carrots and broccoli.
Laura was clearly pleased with the finds and liked how much variety she managed to purchase in the budget friendly supermarket.
With all those groceries Laura, who was cooking for herself made an array of basic meals which included cereal for breakfast and beans or spaghetti on toast for lunch.
Then a main meal that either consisted of fish fingers and chips, chicken and rice, cheesy bacon pasta with broccoli. She even got created by the end of the week and turned some of the fish fingers into fish cakes and even treated herself to a mini roast.
By the end of the week she posted how she fared at the end of the challenge and revealed that she still had some food left over for the next week.
She said to her 14.4K followers that the potatoes and bread didnt last the week but all the over groceries were going to be carried over to the next week.

The video amassed over 2000 likes and followers quickly flocked to her page to leave comments and congratulate her on her challenge.
