British far-right terror suspect arrested by Spanish police to appear in court
A British man arrested in Spain on suspicion of terror offences is due to appear in court.
Kristofer Thomas Kearney is being held on suspicion of spreading material related to ‘extreme right wing terrorism’.
The 37-year-old was detained after an international operation involving Metropolitan Police counter-extremism officers and Spanish authorities.
He was arrested in Alicante on March 2 and has been brought back to the UK to appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow.
He has been charged with two counts of disseminating a terrorist publication under Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
UK police terror police arrested him when he touched down in the UK after being extradited on September 8.
He was charged that evening and first appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on September 9.
Mr Kearney is being held in custody pending his court appearance.
