Torrential rainfall kills man in Croatia's port city Rijeka

ZAGREB, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- One person died late on Wednesday when the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka was hit by a storm and torrential rainfall, local media reported on Thursday. The exact cause of death is yet to be determined.

The strong downpour flooded the city center and damaged several houses, schools and museums. The meteorological service in Rijeka said that the city received more rainfall on Wednesd
