FERNE McCann has cancelled a string of public appearances after her ‘fat c***’ voice note row with Sam Faiers.
Earlier this week The Sun exclusively revealed that the pair are embroiled in a bitter feud.
A source told us that Sam, 31, is “incredibly hurt and upset” by some comments made about her.
A day later it was revealed that Ferne, 32, had been accused of ‘fatshaming’ Sam in a leaked voice note.
The recording, which is thought to feature Ferne’s voice, has sent shockwaves through Essex and reignited the scrap between the former pals.
Now Ferne has decided to keep a low profile.

A source said: “Ferne was due to do a series of interviews tomorrow for a promo job she landed but that’s all been cancelled at the last minute.
“It’s just really awkward timing and has thrown a lot of plans into chaos.”
The voice on the recording is heard saying: “Sam Faiers is fat c***. Her thighs are so big and I looked really skinny today.”
It is not confirmed to be Ferne.

Ferne’s representative has been contacted for comment, while Sam’s representative had no comment.
Insiders say Sam has now blocked Ferne and this week unfollowed her on Instagram.
The pair grew up together in Essex and later co-starred in The Only Way Is Essex – but Sam left in 2014 and Ferne quit two years later.
Their friendship became strained in 2017 when Ferne launched her own reality show, Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, which documented her pregnancy and the birth of daughter Sunday, who she shares with ex Arthur Collins.
The launch of the programme came a few years after Sam launched The Baby Diaries, which was swiftly followed by The Mummy Diaries – and sources say Sam thought Ferne was “copying her”.
At the time, Ferne said: “The reason, as far as I’m concerned, that she fell out with me is because I decided to take this show.

“We had like 15 years of friendship … all I’ll say is it’s a terrible shame.”
But the rift ended in 2018 at Sam’s sister Billie’s hen do in Ibiza – as Ferne is best friends with Billie, the pair had to come face to face.
