Fracking will only go ahead with 'local consent' Truss says as energy crisis intensifies

Prime Minister Liz Truss yesterday insisted fracking will only go ahead with "local consent". Amid opposition from MPs, councillors and residents, Ms Truss said it is right for the UK to focus on homegrown energy production. The Government last week lifted a ban on fracking as the energy crisis intensified.
