The Chase’s Bradley Walsh left shocked by player’s ‘disastrous’ error – as massive fortune is lost
THE Chase host Bradley Walsh was left open mouthed in shock at a player’s “disastrous” error which caused the loss of a massive fortune.
Thursday night’s episode of the ITV game show saw four new contestants – Dee, Owen, Andrew and Lorraine – go head-to-head with Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty.

Media relationships manager Dee was first to go up – bringing home a safe £7,000 for the team after being offered £30,000.
Then Owen followed up by answering four questions correctly, and succeeding in bringing the £4,000 back to his teammates.
It was then former banker Lorraine’s turn – and she offered up a promising amount of money after answering ten correct questions.

Bradley pinned high hopes on the contestant, as she went up to face Anne, 64, telling her she would “sail through” the round.
But after a series of guesses, she found herself in hot water as Anne began to catch up with her – ahead of their final question.
“She’s going to know this. I know it, she is going to know it,” Bradley warned ahead of the final question revealed Anne got it right.
“I am not even sure where I knew that from,” Anne admitted. “Just something pinged in the back of my mind.”

“You know what? I am really gutted that you’re going because you’re a seriously good player,” Bradley concluded after she was sent home.
After the Final Chase, where the team were caught with 18 questions, Bradley lamented: “If Lorraine had been there it would have been game over, the money would have been all yours.”
It comes after The Chase fans were left fuming after a contestant who took the minus offer went on to win thousands.
Monday evening’s episode of the ITV quiz show saw Stan, Joe, Prathi and June join forces to take on one of the country’s finest brains.
Faced with the stiff task of going head-to-head with Paul Sinha, one contestant ending up stealing the show – but for all the wrong reasons.
