Marin teen’s feature film to be shown at Lark Theater
After a successful premiere last month at Larkspur’s Lark Theater, Marin resident Devin Fromer’s “Bus 233” returns to the theater at 8 p.m. Friday, 3:30 p.m. Saturday, 10 a.m. Monday and 4:20 p.m. Oct. 6 at 549 Magnolia Ave. in Larkspur. A brief Q&A with Fromer will follow the Friday screening.
Written, directed and produced by Fromer, 18, the film is a character study that follows a biracial high school senior (played by Fromer) over the course of two days in San Rafael as he struggles to navigate a suburban landscape where everyone seems determined to force him into one proverbial box or another.
Admission is $8 to $11 per showing.
