Lawns should get their ‘last cut’ in October - nine jobs to do before the ‘weather turns’

There's plenty to be done in the garden in October including planting evergreen shrubs, lifting and potting tender perennials, transplanting shrubs, wrapping plants with fleece or straw and collecting seeds.
