Size but messy and missable
Hello Friends,
Raw conditions this morning. Swell was 3 metres at 10 seconds from the SE and wind was SSE 13-18 kts as of 0700. So, while there were head plus wave faces, the quality was strictly ordinary even in the semi-protected corners. The showery stuff is set to continue all day and through tomorrow, so it’s not hard to give it a miss for now. Sunday may possibly be okay for the morning session though.
The weather forecast tells us that we should see a couple of sunny days for Monday and Tuesday. The wind will dial back too, but of course the swell will be dropping gradually as well. The models are showing the swell moving to the ESE and maintaining a period in the 10-11 second range, so Monday morning in particular could be fun and Tuesday should still be do-able. The remainder of the week is currently looking like being back to marginal.
Go well with your day one and all!
Weather Situation
A low pressure system is moving east across the Tasman Sea while a strong high pressure system lies southeast of Tasmania and will weakening over the weekend. The combination of these systems will result in southerly winds across most NSW coastal waters this weekend.
