Bharti Airtel has bought 5G airwaves worth a whopping Rs 43,084 crore in the recently concluded auction. It plans to offer 5G data speeds that could be upto 30 times faster than 4G. Mittal said it was indeed a proud moment for Airtel to be become the first telco to launch 5G in India as it had entered the telecom sector exactly 40 years ago after a first brush with push-button phones in Taiwan.
