People are sharing a surprising solution to keeping warm as temperatures drop… and it costs just 1p every seven HOURS
WITH the weather having changed so dramatically over the past few days, everyone is looking for new ideas on how to keep warm without upping their energy bills.
And while jumpers, snuggly hoodies and big socks are always good options to keep some heat in, there’s another solution that people have been taking to social media to share.
The Cost of Living Money Savers account also posted a video on TikTok gushing about the throws[/caption] The blankets are charged via USB and retain their charge for some time[/caption]Mandy posted a video on her TikTok page citing her heated throw as one of her best buys in recent weeks.
“How much electricity does it cost for a heated throw?” she said in the video.
“I’ve researched this – it’s a wet miserable day and I’m going to be spending the day under mine and knitting – and it’s going to cost me around 1p every seven hours.
“So that’s a lot cheaper than gas!”

And she’s not the only one to rave about the heating hack.
The Cost of Living Money Savers also shared a TikTok video suggesting the heated throws or blankets.
“Not having the heating on and working at home all day?” they wrote over the clip.
“Heated blankets are a great alternative.

“The heat pack charges by USB and you can sit at home with a jumper and turn this on when you need a bit of extra heat.

In the caption, they added: “This week one of the Money Saving Expert team recommended wearing a fleece blanket.
“Heat the human and not the home is a great way to save money on your energy bills.
“Run to buy a heated blanket or cape before the October bill and price rises.”
